The Gallup Energy Logistics Park is currently comprised of two rail loops. The first loop is utilized as a trans-loading site for coal. Coal is brought to the site via truck and then ships it by rail to New Mexico, Arizona, and Mexico. In 2017, HG Management completed the expansion of a second loop made up of 11,000 linear feet of new rail. The new loop provides direct access to the BNSF Transcon line and close proximity to I-40 and highways 491 and 602.

HG Management worked closely with engineers and the BNSF Railway to earn certification for a 365-acre parcel of the GELP property as part of BNSF Railway’s site certification program. The certification ensures a site is ready for rapid acquisition and development through comprehensive evaluation of existing and project infrastructure, environmental and geotechnical standards, utility evaluation, and site availability. GELP serves as a logistics hub for the entire area, and will help companies in Farmington, Four Corners, and other localities increase their productivity and accessibility.
